Sinergi PGMNI (Perkumpulan Guru Madrasah Nasional Indonesia) dan JPRM (Jawa Pos Radar Madura) dalam Program ‘Madrasah Memanggil’ untuk Meningkatkan Kesadaran Pendidikan Masyarakat

Abstract

Education is the key to progress and the advancement of a nation. Awareness of its importance must be fostered from an early age, fully supported by the surrounding environment. However, in locations far from urban areas or in remote villages, educational awareness is very low. In rural areas, education is often neglected, and awareness of its importance is minimal. Teachers play a strategic role as agents of change in the educational process, not only in the classroom but also in building sustainable educational relationships between schools, students, families, and the community. However, in practice, various challenges remain, such as low parental involvement, student discipline issues, and communication gaps between schools and families. The results show that the personalized approach through home visits within the Madrasah Memanggil program is highly effective in building community educational awareness. This aligns with the concept of community-based education, where active involvement of the social environment is a key factor in a child's educational success. The synergy between PGMNI and JPRM plays a crucial role in strengthening program implementation. PGMNI contributes through the experience and competence of non-formal madrasah teachers who understand student characteristics and community social conditions, while JPRM supports this through a volunteer network and innovative, more flexible and contextual learning methods. This collaboration creates a service model that focuses not only on students but also on empowering families as educational partners.
